Quick and Easy Classic Banana Bread

  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1 cup white sugar
  • 2 ea eggs large
  • 2-3 ea bananas med-lrg
  • 1 tsp pure vanilla extract
  • 2 cup all purpose flour
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • pinch salt
  • 4 tbsp sour milk


Wet Ingredients

  1. Cream together butter and sugar until a smooth paste is created

  2. Add in one egg at a time, allowing to fully incorporate

  3. Add in bananas and vanilla. Mix until bananas are smooth and incorporated. Mix may look broken. This is ok.

Dry Ingredients

  1. Whisk together flour, baking powder and soda along with the salt


  1. Gently mix or fold dry ingredients into the wet ingredients until batter forms

  2. Add in sour milk and mix until incorporated and batter is smooth

  3. Place in greased and sugared pan


  1. Bake in preheated 350°F oven on center rack for 50-65 minutes or until just firm to touch
