Pineapple Teriyaki Grilled Chicken Wings

Pineapple Teriyaki Grilled Chicken Wings

Bring the tropics to your backyard with this simple yet tasty five ingredient for grilled chicken wings.

OK. So lately I have been craving chicken wings. But, I don’t want the standard Buffalo Wing. Love them as I do, sometimes you need a variation of an old favorite. Thinking about what flavor I wanted to make the wings I noticed how nice it has been outside. We haven’t had much of a winter down south this year so the grill is in prime shape. So now I know I am going to grill these wings, now to work on the flavor.

The first restaurant I ever worked at had a pineapple teriyaki grilled chicken breast entrée. Though most of that menu has faded from memory, the grilled chicken breast has stuck with me for many years. It’s a recipe I pull out of the hat from time to time for family dinner. For some reason it never occurred to me to use this recipe for wings. No matter, just add a sriracha honey dipping sauce and we’re all good.

Use a high quality pineapple juice. The better the juice, the better the flavor.

The longer you marinate the wings, the more flavor they will soak up. Try not to allow to marinate over 24hrs.
